What We Do & What We Offer:

At MFW-Services we offer a range of computer related services to people for home or small business use.
3D printing now available using a Flashforge Adventurer 3 Pro.
Currently we are unable to offer any services to any Apple product (Mac, iMac, iPad, etc.), tablet or mobile phone, but we will always give advice if we can.

Our online shop is now live, currently offering a small range of products (not all computer related).

PC health check

If your PC/Laptop is running slowly, then we offer a health check to confirm that all parts are working as they should. We will blow out any dust from the case and fans, and check that the operating system has the latest updates, and also check for Virus’s, Malware and Adware.

Upgrades

Desktop PCs are very upgradeable due to the design – ram, hard drives, CPU, power supply, graphics card etc., are all possible, as is keep the case but everything else changed. Laptops and All-In-Ones, on the other hand are not so easy, but normally you can upgrade the ram or replace/upgrade the hard drive.

Data recovery

If your PC has stopped working but the hard drive (or SSD) still functions, we are normally able to get the data off the drive and depending on size, put it onto a USB stick or External hard drive. However, if the drive has stopped working, and your data is valuable, then our Data Recovery partner should be able to get it recovered for you. Do I need a backup? (PDF File)

Domains

Using our Domain & Hosting partner (Ionos Cloud Ltd), we can register a web domain on your behalf and offer hosting of the website, and email accounts.
If you want a full featured website or a logo designed, we work with a couple of companies that can help depending on your requirements. Contact us for information. Domain ownership info (PDF)

New PCs & Laptops

We can build new PCs to suit your requirements (subject to parts availability and budget). New laptops are available to order as due to the huge range and specification we are unable to stock them all.

Refurbished PCs & Laptops

From time to time we have both Refurbished PCs & Laptops in stock. Please contact us to see if we have anything to suit your needs.

Data Destruction

If you have an old hard drive (or SSD) that you want all the data securely removed, then we have the ability to do this for you.
Data Removal/Sanitization Methods: DoD 5220.22-M, GOST R 50739-95, Gutmann, Random Data, Schneier, VSITR, Write Zero

Anti-Virus Software

Windows has an Anti-Virus built in, therefore saving the cost of adding this to your PC. But if you want to add a third-party program for this, we have partnered with leading companies to offer a range of Security and Anti-Virus software for individual PCs/Laptops/Mobile phones or for a complete house full of devices. Contact us for details & prices.

CyberCentre

MFW-Computers our CyberCentre is now open with Full Fibre Broadband connection. If you need to use a computer every now and then, but don't want the expense of buying one, then why not rent one of ours by the hour (or half hour). We also have Colour printers and scanners available.

Laptop Repairs

Replacement laptop screens fitted, however we no longer replace OLED screens due to their fragile nature.
Some laptops may need a 'board level' specialist to be able to repair them. We have partnered with a specialist company to be able to offer such services.

WiFi

Free WiFi for our customers and friends in the area. Just ask for the details.

Windows Updates

Windows updates can take hours to download & install, so please be patient. Depending on the version of windows, you will find that it needs to download the update, verify it, then prepare for installing and finally do the install. We are therefore, unable to tell you how long an update will take.

Anti-Virus scans

To do a full virus scan on a computer can take a long time. If you just run a quick scan, it will only check the most common files and folders that can be infected. It is best to run a full system scan if you think that you may have a virus on your computer. If you have any external drives, do full scans on them too.

While-you-wait PC Repairs

We do not offer a 'while-you-wait' repair service. Some repairs & updates can take many hours of 'bench time'. We aim to look at any Laptop or Desktop PC brought in the same day, but on occasions this is not possible, but will always get to it as soon as we possibly can.

Printer Cartridges

We don't stock printer ink or toner due to the huge number of different printers and cartridges available, but if you are local to Halesworth, Hetty's Little Copy Shop does stock a range of cartridges.

Printer Sales & Repairs

We don't generally sell or repair printers. The cost to repair can outweigh the value of printer quite easily, especially with inkjet printers. But we will always help if we can.

Data Cabling

Whether you need a single data cable installed or a whole building cabled, we are able to put you in touch with the people who can do this for you.

3D Printing

We have a Flashforge Adventurer 3 Pro 3D printer, that offers a build volume of 150x150x150mm. We have black PLA in stock, but can get different colours to suit your requirements.

Opening hours

We are normally open from 9.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday. We are closed Weekends & Bank Holidays.
If you cannot make it into us during the week, we can arrange to meet you on a Saturday morning between 10am and 12noon by prior arrangement only.  Outside of these hours, send an Email or leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
On the odd occasion when the opening times change, these will be posted on our Facebook page and here on the website.

MFW-Services is a trading name of Richard C Humphries.
Richard spent many years working with Pagoda Systems, and in 2022 when the owner retired, Richard decided to buy the business and MFW-Services was born.

Laptop screen broke, all my work stuff on there. Instead of replacing screen which I initially asked for, he immediately offered me a cheaper option which any other company I'm sure would not do. So on Richards advice I have a new monitor, which connects to my laptop with broken screen. I am now back in business. I can access everthing and Everything works.
